Ayclive Festival is gearing up for its biggest, brightest and boldest year yet as it returns to Oak Leaf Sports Field on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th July 2027.
The 2027 summer gathering marks a momentous triple celebration: the 5th anniversary of Ayclive, the 80th anniversary of Newton Aycliffe and the 20th anniversary of Saturday headliners Scouting for Girls. To commemorate these major milestones, organisers are pulling out all the stops for a weekend built around a simple promise: good music, good people, good times.
To mark the milestone launch, a strictly limited batch of Early Bird Weekend Tickets will go live on Sunday 1st November 2026 alongside the release of a brand-new website at www.ayclive.co.uk. Early Bird prices start at just £25 for an Adult Weekend Pass (18+), £5 for a Child Weekend Pass (ages 5 to 17), and free admission for children under five. Organisers advise securing passes early, as Early Bird allocations are strictly limited and expected to sell out quickly.

Pop Legends & Fan Favourites Take the Main Stage
Headlining the Saturday night main stage line-up are UK indie-pop icons Scouting for Girls. Celebrating 20 years as a band, the multi-million album and single-selling group, famous for timeless chart-topping anthems including ‘She’s So Lovely’, ‘Elvis Isn’t Dead’ and ‘Heartbeat’, head to Newton Aycliffe fresh off selling out Wembley Arena, the Royal Albert Hall and two nights at the London Palladium. Four-time Brit Award nominees, the band will deliver an electric, feel-good performance to close out the weekend, supported on Saturday by seven vibrant live acts delivering a full day of music.
Closing out opening night on Friday night are high-energy Indie Rock and 2000s anthem masters Kaiser Monkey Killers (KMK). Returning as headliners following a hugely popular set at Ayclive 2024, the fan favourites headline a Friday line-up that includes two live supporting bands alongside live DJs to get the party started in style.

Expanded Site, Acoustic Stage and Family Fun
Taking place at Oak Leaf Sports Field, School Aycliffe Lane, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, Ayclive 2027 plans to introduce exciting site expansions designed for festival-goers of every age. For the first time in the festival’s history, all ages are welcome across the entire weekend on both Friday evening and the Saturday main event.
The organisers are planning a brand-new acoustic stage which will offer an intimate live music alternative alongside the main arena and marquee, with a possible expansion into surrounding grounds to feature an expanded food court packed with local traders and street food vendors, alongside larger bar set ups designed for quick, hassle-free service. Families will also be able to explore an expanded kids and teens entertainment zone filled with new activities and interactive programming alongside returning marquee favourites, with dedicated campervan/RV camping options now available for those travelling from further afield.

Driven by Community
Behind the scenes, Ayclive is a festival that brings families together, put on by Ayclive CIC, a not-for-profit organisation run entirely by volunteers. With no faceless promoters involved, it is driven by a passionate team of local people who believe County Durham deserves a proper festival on its doorstep, where every single ticket sold goes straight back into making the next event even better.
