Appeal for Suit and Dress Donations to Support People Back into Work.
Local organisations Lifeline Community Action, a Newton Aycliffe charity, KM Coaching and Hiyed are asking businesses in our community to help support individuals who are taking important steps back into employment.
We are seeking donations of suits, business dresses, shirts, blouses, ties and other smart workwear that are no longer needed by your organisation or employees. These items will be used to help people who are preparing for interviews or starting new roles but may not currently have access to suitable professional clothing.
For many people returning to work after periods of unemployment, illness, caring responsibilities, or other life challenges, something as simple as the right outfit can make a huge difference. Feeling confident and presentable can transform how someone approaches an interview and their first days in a new job.
Your donation will directly support individuals in our local community by:
• Providing appropriate interview and work
clothing
• Helping build confidence and self-esteem
• Removing a financial barrier for those
entering employment
• Supporting people through the early stages
of their new career
We welcome clean, good-quality professional clothing for men and women in a variety of sizes. Even a small number of items can make a meaningful difference.
If your organisation has unused clothing from staff changes, uniform updates, office clear-outs, or employees willing to donate professional clothing they no longer use, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.
Together, we can help people step into interviews with confidence and begin the next chapter of their working lives.
