In December, Woodham Academy celebrated the hard work and positive conduct of its students with end-of-term reward visits for each year group. These trips gave students the chance to enjoy some well-earned fun and mark the end of a successful autumn term.
Students headed to Planet Leisure for a bowling experience and to Valhalla North for axe throwing, enjoying exciting activities as a reward for their efforts. Staff at both venues were impressed by how polite and well-behaved the students were and Woodham staff, who accompanied the visits, described the students as an absolute pleasure to be with.
Mr Patterson, Lead Practitioner for Character and Culture, said, “We recognise the importance of celebrating our students’ positive efforts and attitudes, as they demonstrate our school values and strive to become the best version of themselves. While we offer a variety of rewards throughout the term, it is always rewarding to finish the term with a memorable experience for those students who consistently complete their homework, attend school regularly and show excellent behaviour.”
We are incredibly proud of our students for representing Woodham Academy so positively within the local community. More reward opportunities will be organised at the end of the spring and summer terms, allowing us to continue recognising and celebrating students’ achievements.
