‘A House with a History; the Elstobs of Foxton’ by Tim Brown

As early as 1707, Elizabeth Elstob charted her family tree, revealing a dynasty stretching from Richard the Lion Heart and the Knights Templar to the ‘Age of Enlightenment’.

Knights and Clerics, Farmers and Felons, Merchants and Miscreants all feature in this tangled family tree.

How did Elizabeth and her brother come to move in Royal circles, join the intellectuals of Oxford and become known as ‘The Renowned Saxonists’?

All will be revealed in this fascinating account of the fluctuating fortunes of the family over four Centuries.

Refreshments are included and everyone is most welcome.
