Dear Sir,
While driving home, after dropping my wife in Aycliffe Village for a hairdressing appointment, my car broke down not far from Heighington Station. I left the car and started to walk home.
Ben, a passing motorist, stopped, guessed it was my car he’d seen earlier and offered me a lift home. Not only that, he took me back to my car, towed me to a garage in Newton Aycliffe and then took me to the hairdressers to pick up my wife and drove us home. He gave us over two hours of his time. He even made me a cup of tea at his house while we waited for my wife’s hairdo to be finished.
In a world full of bad news, war and general nastiness, this is a tale of kindness that restores my faith in human nature. Thanks again to Ben and his mum.
Phil Fairclough (address supplied)
Thank You
