Seaton Carew Lions

v NAYFC U10 Eagles

Team was Kian, Liam, Nathan, Hamza, Kai, Kaiden, Will, Adam and Kayden. Another great performance as the boys were physically tested, however, remained calm and played some fantastic football with brilliant attitudes. An evenly matched box to box game today with Carew scoring first, however it didn’t take us long to react with a fantastic pass from Will to Kaiden who slotted the ball into the bottom corner. 1-1. Second half continued as the first with some great play from the whole team but Carew managed to get the winner. So proud of all the boys again today, it’s frustrating coming away without a win but we can’t fault their performance and effort today. Man of the Match was difficult as so many players doing well. Nathan in particular was outstanding and the best I have seen him play, driving with the ball, getting his head up and picking out the pass but also making great tackles however MOM went to Kian who has improved massively in the short time he has been playing in goal. So impressed with his performance and he couldn’t do anything about the goals scored. We can tell you have been practising Kian, keep it up, you were fab.

NAYFC U10 Girls Wildcats v

CLS Amazon Flamingos

This morning the girls turned up in the pouring rain with excitement and positivity. We couldn’t wait to get started after a long wait due to the previous game running behind. From kick off the girls were closing down super fast making sure they were first to every ball. Last week we struggled with tracking back to help our defence but this today was definitely not the case. Each and every girl gave everything and this needs to continue whether we are 4-0 up or 5-0 down. Lana and Safiye played a half each in goal, clean sheets all round and also playing great outfield – well done kids!

Freya, Tilly and Megan were great in defence, strong and stopping opposition high up the pitch. Faith and Thea on the wings were on fire today, dribbling past people with confidence. Demi Lee and Polly played fantastic high up the field looking to get in and past the defence. Team work today was absolutely outstanding. The Amazon games have always been very tight (1-0 last time we met) and our girls showed their progression as a team today, coming away with a fantastic and very comfortable win. Goals from Thea and Demi Lee (2 each) and a hat trick for Faith. POM goes to every girl for their team performance.

The weekend saw games for our Girls teams; U7 Wildcats and U9 Angels Blue both with wins, and best game yet for U9 Angels Yellow. Well done girls.

We would like to introduce you to our very first U6 squad!
