Great Aycliffe and Middridge Partnership (GAMP) will be holding a drop in event to give people a chance to meet the team, find out more about what they do and have a say on neighbourhood issues. GAMP coordinator Brian Riley and his team will be on hand at the Primary Care Partnerships shop (opposite Boyes) in Newton Aycliffe Town Centre on Tuesday, 16th October between 10am and 1pm.

The partnership is one of 14 set up by Durham County Council in 2009 to help the authority better engage with residents. Being a board or a forum member is a chance for local people to have a real input on where council and councillor budgets are spent locally and have a say on priorities for the town.

Brian said: “A key priority for GAMP is to engage with residents and partners to help better understand local issues and problems. By meeting the GAMP team, local people will have the opportunity to discuss local concerns, find out about what we do and hopefully become involved.”

Anyone who lives, works, studies or volunteers in the Aycliffe area is invited to pop along, have a say and meet the team.
