The Year 7 and Year 9 Greenfield Community College winners were crowned Small Schools’ League Champions last week. This year is the first time this format has transpired to make it more of a level playing field to allow the smaller schools to compete with one another to win the aforementioned league.

The Small Schools’ League was made up of 8 teams of similar size with Greenfield’s Year 7 and 9 teams both winning the league by two points.

The Year 7 team played 6 matches, winning 5 and drawing 1. They have shown lots of potential for the coming seasons in their first year at Greenfield and will certainly expect to build on this success.

The Year 9 football team also remained unbeaten in the Small Schools’ League Championship achieving a total of 11 points, winning 3 and drawing 2 matches. They finished 5th in the overall league.

The boys seen below in their end of season photographs are shown with their trophies which were presented recently in assembly in school. Well done!
