This event will take place in the old Select shop in Newton Aycliffe Town Centre from 29th September 2014 for one week from 10.00am to 4.00pm daily.

The exhibition will be supported and featuring for one week only the powerful WW1 1914-1918 painting by the noted Artist John Palliser and manned by the History Society volunteers.

Everyone is warmly welcome, entry is free and any donations will be split between Help for Heroes and The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. The Society will also have on sale its new book “The Great War, Great Aycliffe, Brafferton and Coatham Mundeville Remember” priced just £7.00 and the 2015 calendar will also be available for £2.00.

The Society meets once a month on a Wednesday evening in Aycliffe Village Hall at 7 pm. Annual membership is £10 and members pay £1 a month towards speakers fees with non members paying £3.
