This week Greenfield were very excited to welcome the fantastic cast and crew of “The Worst Princess” as part of its current tour for Durham Book Festival.
120 children from Byerley Park and Heighington Primary Schools joined us for the engaging, entertaining and hilarious performance.
The children thoroughly enjoyed seeing this fantastic story come to life, they sang along and laughed as Princess Sue and her dragon companion had a mischievous adventure in the land of storybooks.
Greenfield Arts were pleased to be able to offer this show to our local young people as part of a whole season of live performances over the coming months, designed to give local young people, families and the community the opportunity to see high quality live theatre in a local setting.
“The Worst Princess” was produced by New Writing North in association with Sage Gateshead and bait, adapted by Carina Rodney from the picture book by Anna Kemp and Sara Ogilvie, directed by Ruth Johnson and designed by Andrew Stephenson.
Thank you to the staff and pupils from the schools who joined us – you were very well behaved and we hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did – it was the perfect way to start the week!
