Woodham Burn Primary School choir are celebrating having reached the final round of the Darlington Cornmill ‘Sing to Win’ competition.  On 3rd December they travelled to the Cornmill to sing both a lively rendition of ‘Hey Mr Miller’, and their special Christmas song, ‘Peace Child’ which they sang in a four part harmony. They beat off competition from three other primary schools to win that round and to go on to the grand final on 17th December.
Arriving at the venue on 17th they found themselves to be the only junior choir in the final, competing against groups from performing arts clubs and colleges!  Undeterred they sang their very best and, although they were beaten to the first prize, provided great entertainment for all who were there.
