Anne-Marie from Usbourne Books visited nursery children and their parents and lead on bedtime reading sessions. It was great fun because the children and family members dressed up in their pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers and brought along a teddy or soft toy of their choice, at the end of the session the children had warm milk and a cookie. Usbourne Books also had a number of suitable bed time reading books for the families to purchase.

Miss Green, Nursery Lead said “This is a lovely opportunity for our children and their families to share stories. We have many opportunities to encourage children’s love of books including our lending library and we have a book focus each half term”.

Mrs Edwards, Head Teacher said “Thank you to Usbourne Books, we really appreciate the time and effort provided to our families, encouraging them to read daily, the families loved the event and really got into the spirit of the theme by wearing their pyjamas”.
