Students at Woodham Academy are about to develop their cycling skills. The school has recently acquired ten state-of-the-art mountain bikes, funded through Woodham Sports Academy’s partnership with the Tony Blair Sports Foundation. Currently the bikes are being used exclusively by members of the school’s Leadership Academy who are training with Bike4Health. There will be around 18 students taking part in an event in July, riding to Hamsterley Forest from Woodham Academy. The bikes will create exciting opportunities for students of all ages to engage in cycling activities during their PE curriculum as well as extra-curricular clubs.
