Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) will be holding an event on Thursday 2nd February as part of a nation-wide push to get people talking more openly about mental heath.  Time to Talk Day is organised by Time to Change, the campaign to change how we all think and act about mental health problems. The ‘We Care Coffee Morning’ will take place at the Pioneering Care Centre between 10am-12noon. Join staff, volunteers and service users from projects and activities that promote positive mental health and members of the public, who will all be having conversations about mental health on Time to Talk Day.

There will be plenty of people wanting to chat, free refreshments and activity tasters so people can choose what they want to talk about. Whether that’s a conversation about their own mental health or ideas on how to keep their mind active and healthy. PCP delivers high quality accessible projects and activities aimed at improving health, providing access to services and reducing social isolation. Information will be available on the day from all relevant services including Wellbeing for Life and the Colour your Life social prescribing service. 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year, but many of us are too afraid to talk about it.

Starting a conversation about mental health might seem daunting but simply sending a text, checking in on a friend or sharing something on social media can break the ice. Having these all important conversations can make a big difference to many people. The more we talk, the more lives we can change.” For further information visit the Pioneering Care Centre, tel: 01325 321234, email: enquiries@pcp.uk.net or visit www.pcp.uk.net Or find PCP on Twitter: @PioneeringCare and Facebook: @PCPandCentre.
