The Watoto Children’s Choir have been entrancing audiences as they’ve toured around the world. Their vibrant, original African music, dance routines and life-transforming stories ensured they become unofficial ambassadors for Uganda. Their mesmerising performances have taken them to diverse places such as the White House, the Australian Parliament and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at Windsor Castle.

Watoto means “The Children”. Established in 1994, the choir has travelled internationally as ambassadors for the millions of children in Africa, orphaned as a result of HIV/AIDS, war and poverty. Each singer themselves has tragic and life altering experience of losing one or both of their parents to AIDS. Now, through their lively and inspiring performances, the Watoto Children’s Choir shares their unique experiences, as well as their newfound joy and hope.

You can experience all this for yourself at The Xcel Centre on Saturday 2nd March 2013. Don’t miss out! Tickets cost £10 with all proceeds to the Watoto Choir and are available online via www.xcelchurch.com, alternatively you can pay on the door. The concert starts at 6pm and we look forward to hosting what promises to be a great night.
