If you’re over 18 and live in County Durham, volunteering for the County Durham Youth Offending Service could be for you.

The YOS work with young people and families to prevent offending and reduce the number of children who receive a prison sentence.

They work with victims of crime and encourage young people who have offended to pay back in some way for the harm they have caused.

YOS have a number of opportunities for volunteers within their service – all of which involve establishing a good relationship with young people who have offended and also with the victims of offending.

The service offer a certified training programme and the support and appreciation of all our professional staff.

You will have the satisfaction of knowing that you have made a difference and improved lives of young people and the communities they live in.
