Newton Aycliffe Rotary Club is listening to the people of our Town. So on Saturday 4th July at the Leisure Centre starting at 10 am we at the Agnew Community Centre are responding to the generous offer of a free table to display information about the Community Centre and some of the organisations that use the Agnew.
As the H.Q. for (GACAP) Great Aycliffe Community Aid Partnership, times are really busy with the planning phase of a new Welfare Community Hub in the grounds of and attached to our present Centre.
GACAP has 39 partners all with a heart to help those people who have fallen upon hard times as a result of the economic turndown.
Both organisations along with Aycliffe Day Nursery who also operate from the Agnew Centre have a stall, so come along and see the work in progress.
Perhaps your Charity could contribute to what support and assistance GACAP and the Agnew are currently delivering. See also what activities are going on at the Agnew and tell us if you have any ideas for a new activity. Check out our Free Krafty for Kids Workshops running each Wednesday in two sessions at 10am to 12noon and 1pm to 3pm with places for 10 children for each of the 12 sessions in the 6 weeks of the summer School Holidays. Book your child’s place at the same time – this has been funded by our local AAP, GAMP and we thank and applaud them for their support and faith in our Centre.
This Community Fair is Kick Starting the 12 days of activities at Community Buildings and Community organisations around the Town in place of the Great Aycliffe Show.
The Agnew will run its Family Fun Day on Saturday 11th July from 11am to 2pm  organised by our friends from the Xcel Local and managed by Rachael Mawston and Jo Dixon. All are welcome with both inside and outside activities with young people in mind. This is a must for your social diary. For any further information please contact Ron our Secretary & Centre Manager on 07749 236853 or Joan our Chairman on 01325 321504.
