New College Durham is hosting a Virtual Recruitment Event to enlist lecturers, curriculum support and administration staff to its Supply Pool.

Those interested can log onto the college website on Wednesday 2 December 2020 from 5pm to discover the range of opportunities that are available. Visitors will discover the benefits of joining the Supply Pool and learn about the flexible nature of the assignments on offer. There will be talks by staff from different areas across the college.

Elaine Bonham, Director of HR at New College Durham, said: “The Supply Pool is perfect for people who are looking for flexible work that can fit around their current commitments or lifestyle. There are a range of opportunities available with hours varying from a few a week to full time working. Work opportunities can span the full breadth of our services, including administration, curriculum support as well as teaching”.

Lauren Patton, who joined the supply pool and is now undertaking a full-time Lecturing role, said “The supply hours I have been participating in since February 2019 have supported me to gain experience in Early Years lecturing alongside studying for my PGCE. Both of which have been very enjoyable. I have now managed to secure a full-time permanent position as a lecturer and I couldn’t be happier.”
