Once again St. Andrew’s Church in Aycliffe Village opens its door each Thursday from 2 – 4pm to exhibit the Heritage Centre antiquities.
If like many you have passed through the village and noticed the ancient church and promised to make a visit. Nowis your chance! It is a lovely old church ddating back to Saxon times with much of stonework still visible.
We can think of few finer places to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in such pleasant surroundingas than St. Andrew’s. Take a look at the old tombstones in the churchyard and steep yourself in the history of this parish.
