Greenfield Community College were proud to perform three pieces of dance for Durham County’s secondary school’s showcase at the Gala Theatre in Durham as well as performing at Sedgefield School sport partnership’s dance festival at the Leisure Centre – all in one day!
Greenfield has always prided itself on producing high quality dance work which uses a range of styles whilst ensuring creativity is at the heart of our motivation. This year the choreography included a piece based on social networks; exploring the themes of intrigue versus intrusion and cyber bullying. The second piece was urban and performed by our recently formed year 7 dancers at our Sunnydale campus and the third, named ‘Aurora’ was inspired by the Northern Lights- a stunning representation of the natural light show. All 19 of our dancers performed with confidence and flair and demonstrated the superb commitment required to produce such polished performances. Well done and thank you to all involved.
