On Monday, Wednesday and Friday last week, Student Councillors from Sugar Hill Primary School policed the road outside of school, together with a special guest.
With placards designed and made by children of the school, and wearing high-visibility jackets, we were on duty on mornings and afternoons. We did this to try and stop people parking on the yellow lines and from going over the new 20 mph limit, which has been imposed near the school.
There are lots of parents and children crossing the road at these times of day and cars parked illegally will make this more difficult. Hopefully the outcome will be positive.
