Travellers seem to use the Simpasture Gate area, every year, as a stopping off point, when going to and from Appleby Fair.
They park their caravans on this part of the Business Park and Newton News has received photos of human excrement left by the travellers that has raised serious concern from people living in the area.
Questions need to be asked of our County Council as to what can be done about this? What will be done about this? Do we accept it and perhaps provide portable toilets at this time of year. Or will that just attract more travellers?
