Greenfield Arts are delighted to announce their latest exhibition ‘Travels in Stitch’.  The exhibition is a collection of work by the Durham City Branch of the Embroiderers Guild who have taken inspiration for their work from the places they have visited around the world.   The exhibition will run from Thursday 7th February 2019 to Wednesday 27th February 2019 and there will be a special preview evening on Wednesday 6th February from 18:00 – 20:00 which is also open to the public.
This wonderful exhibition will be on display in The Greenfield Gallery from 10:00 – 21:00 Monday to Thursday (except bank holidays) and 10:00 – 16:00 each Friday.
Why not come along to appreciate the skill and vibrancy that features strongly in this collection of work and enjoy the journey.
Greenfield Arts are also offering an opportunity to get creative in textiles through a new jewellery making studio session.  Join Lindsay Peter to learn new skills in the art of ‘soutache,’ using textile cords and embroidering beads to create unique pieces of jewellery.  Imagine creating and making your own pendant or earrings to take home!  This one-off session will be held on Thursday 21st February from 10:30 – 14:30 and costs just £50 to include all materials.
