A new trampoline club will be starting in the summer term at Woodham Academy thanks to the arrival of new PE equipment.

The school have taken delivery of a trampoline, which will be used to offer curriculum and extra-curricular classes for all Woodham Academy students and will also be offered to local primary schools to access.

The Trampoline Club will be part of the Gymnastic Academy and will be a fantastic opportunity to receive elite sports coaching and develop skills. It is hoped that the club will also be able to enter future club and school competitions in the region.

A funding bid was submitted to the Physical Activity Improvement team which operate a grants scheme designed to get people moving more under the ‘altogether active’ banner. The full bid amount was rewarded to the school and this week saw the first PE classes make use of their new equipment.
