Bishop Trains, which operates an independent national and international rail travel centre based at Bishop Auckland Railway Station, has announced the launch of their new excursion trains programme.
The business which has operated the ticket office at Bishop Auckland station for the last three years will be running their first special train in November from Bishop Auckland to London, the train “the Festive Capital Express” will be the first direct train to leave Bishop Auckland for London in over 50 years.
Tickets are now on sale for the festive trip which is ideal for Christmas shoppers and will feature on-board carol singers, Santa visiting the children on board, gifts for the children and of course, mince pies!

Bishop Trains are already working on a programme of destinations around the UK, details of which will be available via their website and on Facebook.
