The town’s Rotary Club are taking a collection at Tesco this Saturday for the Philippines Appeal, the proceeds of which will go to Shelterbox.
This is an emergency box providing a special tent shelter for up to 10 people, water, cooking utensils, sleeping bags etc. The Rotary Club has already sent £1189 to provide two Shelterboxes and hope Newtonians will help provide more.
