With the recent good news regarding new shop units opening in the town centre, and more to come in the near future, the town centre management are always keen to get involved with the local community and community activities.
Recently, with the help of Newton News, they have obtained artwork from the towns school children to display in an a couple of empty units. The schools and staff were keen to get involved and artwork has been collected from: Woodham Academy, Stephenson Way, St. Francis, St. Mary’s, Byerley Park, Vane Road, Aycliffe Village and Walworth schools.
The pieces of artwork will be displayed until mid January in the unit which used to house BonMarche and the empty premises next to Savers.
Why not join us this weekend (Saturday 27th November) for a Christmas Celebration from 1pm to 5pm?
Kiddies rides, snow globe, farmers market, local organisations, Aycliffe Radio, Carol singing, face painter and, of course, Santa and Mrs Claus will be in the Grotto.
