A Nia Taster Session is at Woodham Community Centre on Thursday 19th December at 3.30p.m. Entry by donation.
No special equipment or experience is required, just wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move and bring some water. Nia is generally done barefoot, but  participants can wear shoes, if they need to for medical reasons.

Nia is a way of keeping fit that doesn’t hurt, that people generally look forward to and helps them to grow – quite literally – in height and as a person!
Nia is a way of moving that anyone can do, regardless of age or level of fitness and is never boring or dull. It has been around for 30 years, and now in the North East with classes in Aycliffe, Darlington, Durham and Hexham. Students have found that it helps to keep their joints moving, their muscles toned, burns calories and lifts the spirit.
It’s not competitive; it’s much more important to feel good after a Nia class and people generally do.  Even people with health issues have found they can exercise in a way that suits their Body.
