Dear Sir,
About ten years ago I had a bad fall just outside the Thames Centre and  I was amazed at the number of people who stopped to help me.  I wrote a letter to the Newton News at that time to say thank you to everybody who helped.
Last weekend I went to Tesco armed with my own carrier bags.  I fastened these onto the hook of the trolley.  I put my pound coin into the slot but the trolley refused to come out.  I tried two more trollies before finally found one that worked.
I then carried out my shopping and proceeded to a check out.  After I had loaded the conveyer I noticed there were no shopping bags on the trolley.  I had left the bags on one of the trollies with a faulty money slot.
Panic set in, but  I loaded my goods into the cart and paid my bill.  I then called at the customer services counter and to my relief found that some kind person had handed in my bags.
I hope that person reads this paper because I would like to say a huge Thank You!
There are still some kind and honest people about.
Great!
