We hope you have all had a lovely Easter and enjoyed the nice weather. Spring has sprung and our prickly friends are starting to emerge. Over the last day or so I have admitted two poorly hedgehogs, their finders got them to me straight away, thank you Natasha and Josy. Both of these hogs are from Woodham Village, Natasha brought in Rosie, she is quite unwell with breathing difficulties, and Josy, who kindly brought in little Molly, she is a very little 390g with an upset tummy.
Can I ask readers to please refrain from using straw and sawdust in their hedgehog houses, some of our hedgehogs are like us and are allergic to things that carry dust. When I admit, these poorly hogs have vet beds, puppy pads and blankets, I don’t use newspapers or anything aggressive, they settle in here quite well if they are comfy, well fed and also effective medical supplies and equipment is readily available.
None of this would be possible without my regular supporters who love our prickly pals, Kirsty, all the residents of Avon Court, Lori, Valerie and not forgetting June, Susan and Linda. Also not forgetting Keith who invited me to take part in Saturday’s Petting Zoo event, lots of information leaflets and info about our beautiful little hogs.
Photo: Poorly Rosie, fingers crossed I pull her through this.
