The Neville Parade Methodist Church Fair was really good. We made some money, which, I may add, went to some food and nicer accommodation for the resident hoggies, they love them of course! It’s a good thing too, they are far too small to be released, they will be over wintered here.

Can I ask all readers to assist these wonderful garden friends to stay alive through this hostile weather by trying to make a few simple changes in your gardens, the first one is hedgehog highways, let them pass through your garden network to forage for food, wherever possible supplementary feeding is always welcome because they can wake up hungry have a snack then go back into torpor, maybe even somewhere for them to hide, straw and dry leaves, if you haven’t got a hog house.

A useful website to visit is Hedgehog Street, it has lots of ways you can help them quite simply, cheaply and effectively and become a hedgehog champion.

Finally, can I thank the following people for their kind donations: Karen who found Oliver, Sandra of Grannies’s Choice for her help with some crafting equipment and Eddie for the hedgehog food.

Thank you, Maxine
