Geoff and Christine Briggs of Hareson Road celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on 5th October 2017 with a visit from the Mayor and a party for friends and family at The Navy Club.
Geoff, born in Bishop Auckland met Christine from Shildon, when they worked for Lehman Archer & Lane at Aycliffe.
Geoff said: “I got the best from Shildon”
