Dear Sir,
May I pass many thanks to Shirley, Tesco staff and management for allowing my collection in their store on Sunday 1st July. Thanks to the generosity of their customers £371, was raised, including a kind donation of £50.
It is always a very enjoyable day collecting for the Community Kitty as we fund ourselves with no grants. We are fortunate to have the support of Humankind (DISC) who give us premises free of charge. Our only expense is £160 per year for insurance. Every single penny goes back into supporting Community groups.
We should applaud ourselves for keeping this kitty going after 11 years – a real success story with thanks to Newton Press, customers, donors, and my best friend Valerie for her help and companionship.
