Charity “Xcel Local” would like to say a huge thank you to all who helped with their Christmas Gift appeal which saw over 114 children receive bags full of Christmas presents. All the gifts were generously donated by members of Xcel Church, the parents of children in Little Cubs Nursery and Livin. We were also able to provide families with incredible food hampers full of everything that they would need to enjoy a fantastic Christmas Day.
We would also like to say thank you to Livin, Little Acorns Residents Association, The Xcel Centre, Little Cubs and Xcel Church for all their help in hosting a Christmas meal for some of the elderly from around our town. All of our guests were served a beautiful 3 course meal and entertained by some of the M.A.D Choir. We are already making plans to repeat this event.
The difference that we can make in peoples lives is all due to the generosity of those who give to the various projects that Xcel Local oversee. In addition to all that was done over Christmas we have given out nearly 1000 food hampers, various items of furniture, clothes and school uniforms to families across Newton Aycliffe and further afield.
