Dear Sir,
It is fabulous to see Coffee Pronto alive and thriving now it has been relocated. We do have a community and it is lovely to see them all enjoying a natter over a cuppa and a bite to eat. So much better than being hidden away upstairs.
The town centre can seem so quiet at times and I really enjoy seeing the hustle and bustle on a weekend. I’m sure that Coffee Pronto must be enjoying so much more passing trade being located next to the busy Aldi car park.
Daejan’s response has also got me delighted to know that the HSBC, an eyesore, will also be upgraded to mirror Coffee Pronto along with the Your More Store and the vacant Woolworths building. A brilliant idea!
There will always be teething problems when such a large scale revamp takes place but I am so glad that the shops have been able to remain open and that I have not had to travel out of Newton Aycliffe to collect my daily shopping.
This is something that if we had all had to do would definitely have seen more shops closing. Let’s not look for the negatives of the experience but thank Daejan for being willing to invest £3m in Newton Aycliffe. Hitachi will soon be with us and we need to make sure those who work there want to shop in Aycliffe and keep our town prosperous.
