On Friday 6th April our Tesco Store allowed us to collect donations for the County Durham Foodbank and the St Clare’s distribution point was brilliantly supported throughout the day.
A big thank you goes to shoppers who give so generously for those in need of food. Also to volunteers from 3M, organised in partnership with Stacy Porter, Staff Volunteer and Engagement Officer with Durham University. Trevor and Sean packed and stacked 59 crates ready to go to the Food Store in Chester le Street, from where the food supplies are delivered, on a weekly basis.
We had help from GACAP partners, Rotary Club members, Durham Constabulary, the church community, and our fabulous Foodbank volunteers. Thanks to you all, and not least to Tesco staff who make this all possible.
