“Hungry Eyes” and “She’s Like The Wind “ are just two of the many song and dance tunes that are in The Tearaways Youth Theatre Groups musical adaptation of “Dirty Dancing” which will be performed the first week in July at the Civic Hall, Shildon.
Local girls Charlotte  Mc Adam, Jordan Sandford and Hana Stephen take on the lead roles of Baby Houseman, Johnny Castle, and Penny Johnstone in the 2 hour production.
Nadia Kovacs plays the part of Baby’s mother, Mr. Houseman. Sisters Nataly, and Erica Wood, along with Blake Reed and Caitlin Barron-Hay supply some of the vocals to the many songs in the show.
Ellie Picken is part of the dance troupe and this is her first Tearaways show. As always Andrew Timmiss keeps a watchful eye backstage on the whole performance. The Tearaways  have kept to the movie story that everyone knows with just a few additions of their own. All they need is an audience to perform it to.
