Tallent Automotive Newton Aycliffe have amazed Macmillan Cancer Support in raising a fantastic £7,000. The Community Charity Committee is a fundraising group set up within Tallents and has been running since 2010.
Funds are raised from wage donations and various events carried out during the year. Each year those donating from their wages into the fund are given the opportunity to nominate a charity of their choice, and in 2012 the charity chosen was Macmillan Cancer Support for the magnificent and caring work that they do. On the 8th December 2012 at their AGM the Charity Committee handed over a cheque for £6000 to Michelle Muir from Macmillan, this was in addition to a further £1000 handed over to Michelle in February 2012.
