BBC Look North presenter Colin Briggs visited St John’s School – A Catholic Academy in Bishop Auckland recently to give an exclusive talk about his work in journalism and presenting. Mr Briggs was alive with enthusiasm for his career; he had a story for every question that the Year 10 students asked and was truly an inspiration to the young people who are looking to journalism as a possible future career.
Maya Gibson, one of the Year 10 students Colin talked to, said, “I think it was important for us to hear about the journey he took though many different roles before settling on something that he is truly passionate about. This was also an eye opening experience as Colin revealed how some famous faces have had to work hard to get where they are now”. A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all.
