Shelley McCormack from Aycliffe Running Club participated in the Tough Mudder North West in Cheshire on 5th October.
The course was a 12 mile trail through mud, forests and across fields. It involved negotiating 18 large obstacles including swimming through ice, climbing 7ft walls, crawling through tunnels and being electrocuted!
Alongside this were numerous other hazards to challenge the runners all designed to encourage camaraderie and to stop to help your fellow runners.  Shelley completed the course in 3hours 30 mins and thought the whole experience was fantastic.
