Newtonian for 37 years Mary Miller of St. Godric’s Road recently supported her grandaughter Carly Auld in getting friends and neighbours to sponsor her in the Gateshead 5K Run in aid of Help for Heroes.
Carly, a contestant for Miss Durham raised over £400 towards a total of £8,000 which was presented to the charity at Sedgefield Racecourse recently.
