Greenfield Arts are delighted to announce their new summer programme packed full of creativity with projects, activities and a new summer festival.
We are hosting a series of exhibitions that will inspire activities and offer the chance to enjoy a range of wonderful artwork. The gallery season opens with an exhibition by Ann Thornton. Form and Colour sets the scene for a vibrant summer in The Greenfield Gallery, reflecting Ann’s interest in natural structural forms from close observation of the countryside. There is also our annual exhibition by students from Greenfield Community College demonstrating the wealth of creativity in the Arts, followed by a collective exhibition from Darlington Association of Photographers – an exciting summer season ahead.
There are a number of free opportunities for young people and adults beginning with our May holiday activities, celebrating the Jubiliee with ‘Craft to a Tea’. We are looking forward to the creativity from all ages and the chance to share the celebrations with the community with felt-making and crafty sessions for all.
Our popular courses include Spanish and Yoga and this season we have a specialist arts focus on Watercolour, Mixed Media Collage and Cyanotype, attracting professional artists to lead the workshops. The ‘Our Place’ Summer Festival will bring the whole community together as we offer a three-day event where creatives and stallholders can showcase their craft, with tasters, workshops, craft sales and fun activities for all the family.
