The premises are run and maintained by a number of willing volunteers and all proceeds are used to maintain and improve the premises.
There are two Scout groups using the premises on 4 nights each week allowing the young people of our town to experience activities such as archery, canoeing, climbing, baking, model making and a host of others. They are also learning the life skills they will require as they grow older. Currently the 1st Newton Aycliffe Scouts are in the process of redecorating the hall to gain their DIY badges.
