Families have been getting creative with Greenfield Arts this summer, with activities for young people in both Newton Aycliffe and Shildon. Young people have had great fun working with our artist Dawn Belshaw, making masks, drawing and creating salt-dough images, learning new skills and getting together to make things in a lovely environment. We were delighted to offer creative activity at both the Fun4All, Shildon and Horndale Community Fun Day.
This season Greenfield Arts have been encouraging young people to see the beauty in the everyday and be able to learn more about themselves and the community around them. This has been a positive stimulus which has drawn on ideas from our current exhibition ‘Man-Made’ by Richard Bliss.
Looking forward, we are thrilled to be taking part in the ‘Big Draw’ event in October, Greenfield Arts are offering a full day of free family activity. The drop-in event will be held during October half term.
