A group of Woodham Academy’s Most Able students attended a Key Stage 3 workshop at Durham University’s Oriental Museum last week. The workshop ‘Comparative world religions’ uses the collections of the Oriental Museum to study religions from across the globe including Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism and Jainism. The session encourages students to learn more about different faiths through the artwork and other objects associated with them. The students had a tour of the museum, made decorative ceramic tiles, studied the Egyptian mummies and tried meditation with music.
