Helen from Newcastle Buddhist Centre visited St Joseph’s School to talk about Buddhism which has 376 million followers worldwide. She explained to the children how it is a spiritual tradition that focuses on personal spiritual development, telling the children about Siddhartha Gautama the Buddha who was born over 2,500 years ago. All classes enjoyed her talk and looking at photos and statues she brought with her. Helen is shown here with Year 6.
