Dear Sir,
To all Newtonians expressing their dissatisfaction at the redevelopment of the town centre. For years Aycliffe has asked for this redevelopment, now that it has finally happened you are all complaining again because of the disruption.
Please explain how the redevelopment of a town centre is supposed to happen without disruption to access and shopping. The whole town centre will benefit when the work is complete, Be happy that change is happening after shouting for it for so long.

Editor: Everyone welcomes the redevelopment, but they have the right to question a process which closed the whole pedestrian area from top to bottom of Beveridge Way for months when it was clear it could have been completed one bit at a time causing the minimum disruption and loss of trade.
