Celebrities and supercars descended on a North East hotel last week (14 September) for a special evening of entertainment.

Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa, at County Durham, hosted A Night with the Cannon Run on Friday 14 September, with professional drift drivers, stunt drivers and celebrities among those who attended.

The Cannon Run, a unique driving experience which takes those who love driving on routes around the UK and Europe, stopped off at the hotel as part of its annual September Slammer Run, which also took drivers through the Peak District, the Lake District and the Northumberland National Park.

Celebrities taking part in the run included Jodie Kidd, Shane Lynch, Dapper Laughs, professional drift driver, Baggsy, BMX rider, Harry Main and stunt driver, Buttsy Butler, among others.

And guests to the event enjoyed a three course meal, live entertainment, supercar display, charity auction and charity passenger rides, with money raised going to The Brain Tumour Charity.

The charity aims to fund new research, raise awareness of brain tumours and provide support and information to people with a brain tumour and their families and friends.

General manager at Ramside Hall Hotel, Tim Boyd, was delighted to welcome the Cannon Run team to the hotel.

“We hold a really wide variety of events at the hotel, but the sight of more than 60 supercars pulling up to the grounds was really something to behold,” said Tim.

“It was fantastic to host the drivers taking part in the run and provide them with a wonderful evening and comfortable stay before they headed off to Edinburgh on the next leg of their trip.

“The event was a huge success, with lots of money raised for a very deserving cause.”
