On Thursday, 18th of April Year 3 pupils from St. Mary’s visited the library. This is the third time our class visited the library, as part of our Literacy lessons.  We love to read and our class teachers, Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Clausen thought by going to the library regularly, we would enjoy reading even more!

On our last visit we were given a tour of the library by the friendly, helpful staff, so that we know where to find the books we enjoy reading. We already know some famous authors, whose books we like to read, e.g. Roald Dahl, Enid Blyton and Julia Donaldson. We go to the library every 3 weeks and are allowed to choose a book on our class ticket. Some of us were already members of the library, while some of us have recently joined; now visiting the library in the evenings and weekends.

Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Clausen hope that by regularly visiting the library, we will enjoy reading more and develop a passion for reading that will last a lifetime!

This is what some of us think . . .  Jamie, “It has encouraged me to like books and I read more now.” Lily, “It inspires me with my writing, as I get lots of ideas from books.” Jack, “I managed to get a book from one of my favourite films.” Dylan,” I will never stop reading.” Hannah, “I now go to the library outside of school and read more books.”
