Great Aycliffe Mothers’ Union held their annual “Daffodil” Coffee Morning at St. Clare’s parish church last Saturday. We were thankful that a beautiful sunny day welcomed visitor’s into our hall, and they all enjoyed viewing our home made cake stall deciding what to take home for tea!

Our packed tombola stall was very tempting along with a raffle table loaded with prizes.

The highlight of the day was when everyone settled down with bacon sarnies and enjoyed delightful singing from Aycliffe Village School Choir. It was plain to see how much the children enjoyed singing for us, their choice of songs were first class.

We wish to thank Mrs. Helen Sutherland, the head teacher who organised the visit. The whole morning had a sense of togetherness, and we were over-joyed to make over £570 to help with the upkeep of St. Clare’s.

A very big “Thank You” to all our fantastic team who helped on the day. It would not have been the success it was, if not for YOU the people who came to support us, we truly appreciated each one of you.

REGULAR COFFEE MORNING

Just to remind you, that we have a smaller Coffee Morning every Saturday with cakes to buy at St. Clare’s from 10-noon, please feel welcome to pop in.
